Our Story

Born From the Mission. Built for Yours.

BeSeen did not start with 'how can we make money?' It started with 'how can we help nonprofits and churches finally tell their story?' In a way that is actually, genuinely, affordable.

How We Got Here

In late 2019, Evan was working at a nonprofit in Tulsa serving youth experiencing homelessness. He was meeting people close to his own age who were just trying to survive. People who spent their 18th and 19th birthdays at a shelter, people who grew up through trauma and divorce, people whose stories were barely being told. He could not believe how little the world knew about what these young people were going through.

One day, he met a young woman named Ashley. She was frustrated and ready to talk. She wanted to record her story, not for sympathy, but to show the world that she was human too, and that homelessness was harder than people realized. After they recorded it, someone asked what they should call the documentary series. They grabbed a piece of paper and wrote down two words: BeHeard. BeSeen. That is how both names were born.

"We started with a camera and a few snack packs. Now we operate in multiple cities with a shower trailer, laundry trailer, barbershop bus, clothing trailer, case management, mail services, and more. All on wheels."

From there it was documentary content and social media, spreading awareness about homelessness in a way that felt real, dignified, and human. Over time, they kept asking the people they served what they needed most. The answer kept coming back: showers and laundry. A church in Tulsa donated funds to get a mobile shower trailer. BeHeard became an official nonprofit on October 13, 2020. What started with a camera grew into something much bigger than anyone planned.

That is when they understood something important: consistent, dignified storytelling on social media is not just awareness. It is impact. BeHeard now has $25,000 a month in recurring giving, and the majority of that came from social media. From people following the story, sharing posts, giving two dollars a month, ten dollars a month, a hundred dollars a month. It builds. Over years, that changes everything for an organization trying not to be grant-dependent.

Meanwhile, nonprofit after nonprofit was reaching out asking for help. They were at capacity. No plan for social media. Doing everything: grants, board reports, programs, operations, comments, emails. All with a tiny staff stretched to the limit. Evan knew that feeling personally. BeSeen Collective was built for those organizations. Not to have thousands of clients. Not to be the biggest agency in Tulsa. Just to give nonprofits an affordable, consistent, people-first presence on social media. In their voice, about their people, for their mission.

Let us take the burden. Let us tell your story. Let us help your mission reach the people who need to hear it.

The Reality

Every single day as an ED is a choice between what matters.

No one can do it all. But nonprofits keep trying. Because they have no other choice.

The Person Behind It

Evan started in nonprofit outreach making mini documentaries to spread awareness about homelessness. BeHeard started with a camera and a few snack packs. Today it operates mobile drop-in centers across multiple cities.

BeHeard grew to 200K+ followers and $25K/month in organic recurring donations, not by accident, but because of consistent storytelling.

"If someone could have handled our content, given us even a few hours back — it would have made a difference."

What We Give You

Not followers. The three things that actually matter.

Time Back.

Stop spending 10 hours a week figuring out what to post. That time goes back to your programs and your people.

Mission Awareness.

Your community sees the work. Volunteers find you. Partners reach out. Your story reaches people who have never heard of you.

Consistent Giving.

When donors see your impact consistently, they give consistently. Content that moves people builds donors, not just likes.
